Word Association

What comes to mind when I mention the following:

Precious

The Building

Karmai

Aaron's Basement

Kudos

An Avenger tends to answer these questions far differently than the general population.

Ok ok...I got it.

Precious - King of chihuahuas, the mighty rat dog from your worst nightmare of rat dogs...mighty snack of a german shepard. (Also I thought of Jamie...and the way he used to say the word.)

Glow sticks and a flooded basement. That building was the pre-curser to laser tag/paintball wars...a place where fun could be had by all...especially if you wanted to give your friends eyeball rugburns.

Karmai - That wonderful city by the sea! (Is that right?) I have a vague recollection of this being a city in one of our Adventure campaigns...

The basement where we ate lots of pizza, had awesome sock fights until Aaron's mom came down and beat the living shoes off of Aaron because she couldn't sleep. Also, I think Aaron continually working on a hole in the wall...to stash his stash or something.

Kudos were like Lembas bread (the elven bread from LOTR) for us all! It was free and lasted us at least a weekend! Full of energy, they took us to many far away places and through many battles with orcs and dudes in Black VW Rabbits.

Ok, Karmai was the first city, in the first scenario, in the first Adventure campaign, one of the few we ever finished. Next door was an underground cave containing the ring of flying, which totally messed with the game, and resulted in Aaron and I taking turns being out of the room since our characters were leading separate lives for so long.

Karmai was before my time.

The first (and only?) Adventure campaign I ever played was based out of a city called Andrey.

Ah, Andrey! I remember it like it happened in the mid-to-late eighties...

I remember one time, during our first Adventure campaign, that Aaron and I got into this huge fight and he took my ever so delicately handcrafted map and wadded it up. He was lucky that fateful day, for if Joel had not held me back I would have jumped on Aaron and slowly plucked his little peach fuzz off of that jutting chin of his! We were good at getting into minor scuffles...but we were always gentlemen about it...always trying to spare Aaron's mom by taking it outside. "Step outside...no, YOU step outside!"
